This page is where you can find details of training formats, venues and prices.
Please follow the menu link (at left) to see what training is available and when it will take place.
Pricing:-
We accept PayPal and will invoice institutions if required - terms are 30 days nett. Please contact me regarding cancellations.
Generally speaking the consultancy will operate a scale of charges based on:-
- nature of work - whether with management, an individual faculty or groups of faculties or departments or whole school / organisation
- hours of work involved (including preparation and delegate booklets containing full notes) in delivering the agreed program
- training venue - off-site (organised through me) or on-site and organised through your institution
- supervision - will be free for six months following training / input - after that £50 per hour
Guideline Prices-
Off-Site Training: (Maximum 24 delegates)
- for a single delegate at an off-site venue the cost will be £130 (VAT inc) for a one day training, which will include all training materials, lunch and refreshments throughout the day - and follow-on supervision.
- for a single delegate to attend a two day training at an off-site venue the cost will be £210 (VAT inc) which will include lunch and refreshments throughout both days, and training materials - and follow-on supervision.
- for a group of delegates (up to 24 from a single institution) at an off-site venue then the cost would be £85 per person per day (VAT inc) and would include lunch, refreshments each day, materials and on-going supervision.
- for a trainer at an off-site venue organised and paid for by the institution - the flat rate fee is £1000 (VAT inc) per day and includes all materials and follow-on supervision - where bookings exceed 24 delegates, then an additional trainer would be needed and an additional trainer fee would apply.
In-House Training - maximum of 24 delegates per group, minimum group size applies - 12
- for on-site in-house training the charge is per person, per day and is £45 (VAT inc) and would include all materials and follow-on supervision. Lunch and refreshments would be the responsibility of the commissioning organisation.
NB It is conceivable that larger groups could be accommodated and the cost for the additional delegates - a minimum of 12 up to a maximum of 24 would be the same - there would be a separately negotiated flat-rate fee for an additional, qualified and experienced trainer(s) for the second (and subsequent) group(s). For a group fewer than 12 in number, the fee for 12 applies.
- for twilight INSET sessions then please contact me and we can discuss fees, as we can for disaggregated teacher day sessions i.e. Saturday training sessions or during school holidays (half-terms).
CPD Completion Certificates
All delegates who fully attend training sessions will receive a certificate of attendance.
On-going Support / Supervision After Training
At current rates this service is worth £300 AND IT'S FREE for six months to anyone who attends a course - whether open access or especially commissioned (bespoke).
Venues
We use a variety of off-site venues - all will have been chosen for their suitability as training / conference venues; for the quality of the food and refreshments on offer and for their accessibility by delegates, including those with additional needs. All will be within reasonable travelling distance of your organisation - a school in Birmingham will not have to send delegates to a venue in Hull, for instance.
Unless, of course you are attending one of the specialist conferences we will be organising.
Our bespoke training wil be delivered on-site at your school / organisation or at a venue you've selected.
Training (Format)
Whether attending the one day overview or a two day, subject specific training session, I am of the opinion that a practical, skills based area such as Solution Focus requires a hands-on learning approach. From the outset the delegate will be using the approach, there will be several short sessions of applying skills we have explored in a series of development exercises and then a concluding session will be run where we draw the strands of the day together.
I am aware that not all people enjoy or willingly participate in role play - any we ask you to do will be gentle, I promise you. You will be asked to be active in your learning - you'll get more out of the day and as a result, you and everyone else will benefit.
The areas we focus training on are described on the training page but to refresh your memory we can look at any area from the list below - and if there are enough requests, at any area that isn't listed but in which you have an interest (i.e. policy writing, effective staff meetings etc..)
-
- behaviour adaptation
- conflict reduction
- leadership and management skill development
- effective team building
- coaching / mentoring
- self-development
- development of effective organisations
I guess that I may have answered some, but not all the questions you may have - if I try the site will get really unwieldy.
Please use the contacts page, drop me a line and I'll get back to you within 48 hours or so. It would be good to hear from you.
